Package Tour – Back to the woods

We Go Through the
History of Street Art
Your adventure starts at the Kids of Africa Village near Entebbe. Settle in, explore the village and meet the people who call it home. Visits to nearby schools and communities offer a first glimpse into everyday life in Uganda — and set the scene for the journey ahead.
Across the equator and into the savannah
Leave Entebbe behind and head west, stopping at the equator before continuing to Lake Mburo National Park. Explore the park on a game drive and take to the water for a boat trip, discovering Uganda’s wildlife and landscapes from two very different perspectives.
Slow down and experience rural Uganda
Deep in the green hills of Buhweju, the pace changes. Spend your days walking through local communities, visiting a tea plantation and discovering agroforestry at the Kids of Africa forest farm. It’s a chance to get closer to the land, meet the people who live here and experience a side of Uganda few visitors get to see.
Return with more than memories
On the way back to Entebbe, visit a vocational school and discover another part of Kids of Africa’s work in Uganda. Back at the village, gather for a farewell dinner and reflect on nine days of wildlife, nature and meaningful encounters — before it’s time to say goodbye.

Day 3West, across the equator

Day 4Wildlife by land and water
An early game drive takes you across open grassland in search of zebras, impalas and buffalo. Afterwards, a boat trip on Lake Mburo shows the same landscape from the water, with hippos, crocodiles and countless birds along the shore. In the afternoon we drive on into the green hills of Buhweju.
Overnight: Buhweju

Day 5-7Wildlife by land and water
Three days at the pace of rural Uganda. You walk through the surrounding communities and are welcomed into people’s daily routines. You visit a tea plantation and see how the leaves are picked and processed. And at the Kids of Africa forest farm you discover agroforestry: how trees, crops and animals are grown side by side to keep the soil alive. This is the heart of the trip, and the part few visitors ever get to see.
Overnight: Buhweju (three nights)
-
Day 8The journey home
We leave the hills behind and travel back east. On the way you visit a vocational school, where young people learn a trade, another side of the Kids of Africa story. Back at the Village, a farewell dinner brings everyone together to look back on the past nine days.
